April 29, 2009 - RUN
90 min with 1 mile intervals - I started running and felt fantastic until my back started spasming after 20 min. Wisely (I think) I stopped, headed home and stretched and took a muscle relaxant. I stretched every 15 min all day. I think it worked!
April 30, 2009 - BIKE
I wasn't sure how this bike workout was going to go. It was my 20 min lactate intervals which are tough and I wasn't sure if my back would handle being on the bike. However, the workout was awesome and my back felt fabulous when I got off the bike!
May 1, 2009 - RUN
30 min. easy run - I decided to try out several running paces during this run to see how my back felt. I could feel that it was tight but there was no pain at all, so I guess we'll see how it holds out for Indy.
May 2, 2009 - INDY MINI MARATHON + SWIM
